ScoreSifter is designed with privacy as a default. The app runs entirely on your device — your music files, filenames, and library never leave your computer unless you explicitly trigger an online lookup.

The short version: ScoreSifter collects no personal data, stores nothing off-device, and does not require an account.

What ScoreSifter does not collect

ScoreSifter does not collect, transmit, or store:

Online lookups (optional)

When ScoreSifter cannot identify a piece from its built-in catalogue, it can optionally query MusicBrainz — a public, community-maintained music database. This lookup sends only the song title and composer name you have entered. No file contents or personal information are sent.

MusicBrainz is an independent service with its own privacy policy. Kairovo has no control over MusicBrainz's data practices. The vast majority of lookups are handled entirely offline by the built-in catalogue.

Local data storage

ScoreSifter stores the following data locally on your device only:

None of this data is accessible to Kairovo or any third party.

This website

The ScoreSifter website is a static HTML page with no tracking scripts, no cookies, and no analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar service.

Your web host or CDN provider may collect standard server access logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for operational purposes. These logs are not used for profiling or marketing.

Children's privacy

ScoreSifter is a general-purpose utility app. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. As ScoreSifter collects no personal data from any user, there is no differentiated treatment based on age.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Since ScoreSifter collects no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect you in practice.
